DANBURY -- A Newtown Road bank was robbed early this morning by a man on a black bicycle, according to police.
Police say that police responded to a robbery at the Bank of America branch located at 67 Newtown Rd. at 10:10 a.m. this morning. Police say the suspect was a male wearing a straw hat and a camouflage jacket. He was last seen fleeing the bank on a black bicycle.
Some sources have speculated to the News-Times that the bank robbery might have been related to the bomb threats called into two Danbury schools this morning.
